The Consensus Based Retul Fit

Using advanced fitting principles, we observe, measure and adjust according to your specific needs. We utilize a consensus approach to fitting and will walk you through every adjustment before making it. Our bike fit services are for all levels of riders and will be tailored according to your needs. Serving all of Ontario from our home base in Toronto. Retul and Slowtwitch Certified, and Juteau-Cantin and Exit-Cycling Fitting Tools.

Options:

  • Retul Fit ($235, 1.5 hours, includes follow-up)
    • Includes a biomechanical assessment, optimization using the Retul 3D motion capture system and power
    • Following a biomechanical assessment we capture your position on the bike and have a discussion about comfort and power (in that order!). We will propose changes, from the cleats on up, make the changes and then re-sample the position, comparing to over 10 years of rider data.
    • The Retul Fit is also our methodology for determining ideal TT/triathlon bike size. Why? Because we use the Exit Fit Cycle to determine the positon and recognize the uniqueness of the position from other styles of riding. Credit for the fit session if a bike is purchased through our shop.
  • Fit Consultation ($84.99/hr)
    • Include biomechanical assessment and review of cycling position
    • While not as precise as the Retul fit, we can often solve many comfort or performance issues in just a short amount of time.
    • This is perfect for charity riders who want to get the most out of their bike and want to be prepared for their big summer challenge.
    • Geometry and measurements for custom built bikes on our Exit Fit Cycle.
  • Sizing ($75)
    • If you don’t have a bike or are in the market for one, this is what you are looking for. We start with a biomechanical assessment and then take key body measurements to determine your ideal size for road, hybrid or a mountain bike.
    • With this data and a discussion about your current challenges and strengths, we select your bike.
    • Sizing report is provided and we are available for consultation.
    • Once you have chosen your bike, you also have 30 minutes of time available in the fit lab with our techs. No matter where the bike has come from we are dedicated to making sure that you are as comfortable as possible.

Benefits of a Fit Session and What Makes Us Different

A regular club rider is on the road 8 hours a week, for at least 6 months of the year. That adds up to almost 200 hours of riding. A good fit means that those hours spent on the bike are comfortable and enjoyable. An age group triathlete may be on the bike for 15 hours a week, adding up to 360 hours in the saddle over 6 months, plus races! The investment in the right bike fit will pay dividends in comfort, power and aerodynamics. Our services are for anyone from the beginning weekend rider to the elite road racer.
