Wanted: Part-Time Cycling Consultant
Hello Vélo is looking for a Cycling Consultant who is highly engaged in cycling through their own participation and is interested in an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a unique performance studio setting. The ideal candidate is able to engage people in talking about their interest in cycling, is able to diagnose mechanical issues on bikes and has an aptitude for learning. Sales, payment processing, ordering, receiving, blogging and maintaining a clean shop are all responsibilities.
Requirements
- Over the age of 18
- Must love to ride mountain, cross, road, or du/triathlon
- Demonstrated interest in the finer points of cycling – equipment/gear, mechanical, fitting and performance
Benefits
- Membership on the shop club and an opportunity to race with the team
- On the job mechanic training
- Training in professional sizing and fitting techniques (Slowtwitch, Juteau-Cantin, Cobb, BikeFit, Hello Vélo Protocol)
Compensation
Fair market rate commensurate with experience; as negotiated.
